about camber
Hi guys
i saw a post about s2000 camber that was put front
negative camber more than rear negative camber
increase cornering performance
for example F -3.0
R -2.0
like this
is that true? I searched a lot of post about s2k alignment
but all of alignment has more negative camber on rear
wheels
please share your opinion and knowledge
thanks

Relatively speaking yes this is true in a racing environment, especially for a stagger set up. A narrower tire heats up quicker then a wide tire, therefore more camber offers a more evenly distributed heat range across the section width in an environment that gets tires up to proper operating temperature. Without enough camber, you can overheat a tire on the shoulders and reduce its total adhesion capability. Also there is an inherent handing character present with camber, and traction bias tuning front to rear. For the street, less camber up front is more typical, where tires never get up to peak operating range, and a flatter tire surface area up front for braking/safety is more important. Also by suspension design, the stock camber range on stock or lowered height favors more camber in rear then in front. Thats what i know, in a nutshell.
Thank you sir
I'm trying to set my car for back road on weekends and track So front negative camber seems alright for me
last question, I've no alignment set up for front negative
camber so I could just go local alignment center and tell them to put more negative camber on front wheels? Or gotta go to alignment specialized for S2k
I found few set ups that is on forum but i believe all the cars has different heights and dampening so I don't think I I can just follow there set ups
any suggestions for alignment place where is more specialized to s2000s or track?

Keep in mind too that too much camber is not only ineffective on the street where the tires will rarely get pushed hard enough consistently to get up to temp, but you will find the increase tire wear quite annoying. The alignment spec I gave you over PM in my experience is the most aggressive and effective street alignment for the car wile also maintaining a favorable tire life.
