ap1 springs on ap2
I searched and didn't find a clear answer. Someone told me it will make m ap2 "handle better". I have an 05 that was lowered by the previous owner. I want to put it back at the stock ride height.
are AP1 springs any lower, stiffer, softer, etc?

I put 2007 shocks and springs on my 2002 S2K and too me it feels like it handles better, primarily because the front end is stiffer than my 02 setup. The softer rear end doesn't seem to have harmed anything.
Your '05 shocks will provide good damping (ride comfort) for any non-CR OEM spring, but be aware that changing the springs alone (i.e. without matching shocks) will change the ride height and the on-the-limit handling balance. A stiffer spring will raise the ride height and reduce grip at that end (relative to stock), while softer will do the opposite. (Of course, you're changing from a non-OE setup, so you might not notice or care about the changes relative to stock, only relative to what you have!)
A set of used '04-'07 AP2 springs should only set you back $20-$40 or so (they're amazingly cheap these days), so I'd recommend trying that first. Another option that would preserve the factory ride height is to just get a full set of used OE shocks and springs from any model year -- that will run you between $100 and $300 depending on age and mileage. (Note that AP1s ride slightly higher in the rear than AP2s.)
Good luck.
