Default Blox Steering Rack Ridid Bushings - Cracked Bracket

I installed Blox rigid steering rack bushings the other day and found that they were a really tight fit. I'm not sure if I over torqued them down or if they simply were just to large. Anyways this was the result.

Blox solid bushings in but not fully seated.

Damn.....

Anyone else experience this issue?

The bolt on bracket is the one that cracked. I found a replacement on eBay for $40. I guess I'll have to ream out the hole or reduce the bushing size before reinstalling.

The ones I got from ballade just slid in (no press fit).

Did only 1 have to be pressed?

Idk about anyone else...but I kinda worry about what would happen if the wheel got impacted.

The blox one is definitely a tight fit, ive installed a few of those and they were all a little tight nothing excessive. Also blox has an upper and lower bushing, be sure you install them in the proper postion

The bushings were installed in the correct locations. Just sharing my experience.
I'm not all that sure that the crack would have any influence anyways since the bushings are solid and I also have the CR rack braces that bolt down on top.

Did the rack crack as you tightening the bolts that hold it in place?

Yeah. I tried to get them to seat with a large C clamp, but was not able to. I figured bolting them down would finish the job.

Can you get that bushing from Honda? Curious if the part # ever changed...
