A lot of misinformation about preload in this thread. The preload should already be set out of the box or you should have it at zero.

The ability to load the springs is for corner balancing. If you just randomly set your preload but measuring an arbitrary "2 rotations" then enjoy having a whacked out ride.

As far as adjusting ride height. You do that but spinning the bottom perch and bottom perch only. Once the coilovers are installed on the car, spinning the top perch with your spanner wrench will affect the load on the springs. If you need to need adjust your ride height, you should take off your coilover and adjust using the bottom perch.

Also, the spring rates on these coilovers are more than double the stock spring rates, so I'm not sure why people are saying it's soft. For street use, you should be using maybe 5 clicks from soft. I see way too many people with their cars bouncing everywhere on the freeway. Guess what? If your car is bouncing, then your tires aren't making optimal contact with the road!

I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these coil set ups, does anyone want to share a pic of what a correctly pre-loaded coil looks like on all coils?

If the lower perch rings (where the bottom of the spring sits) are locked together, you can use the tool to turn the entire assembly.

The length of the spring and tension does not change, the amount of threaded body changes
