A lot of misinformation about preload in this thread. The preload should already be set out of the box or you should have it at zero.
The ability to load the springs is for corner balancing. If you just randomly set your preload but measuring an arbitrary "2 rotations" then enjoy having a whacked out ride.
As far as adjusting ride height. You do that but spinning the bottom perch and bottom perch only. Once the coilovers are installed on the car, spinning the top perch with your spanner wrench will affect the load on the springs. If you need to need adjust your ride height, you should take off your coilover and adjust using the bottom perch.
Also, the spring rates on these coilovers are more than double the stock spring rates, so I'm not sure why people are saying it's soft. For street use, you should be using maybe 5 clicks from soft. I see way too many people with their cars bouncing everywhere on the freeway. Guess what? If your car is bouncing, then your tires aren't making optimal contact with the road!
