Ceramic brake pads
I read that ceramic brakes last longer, produce less brake dust and stop better (once warmed up) compared to semi-metallics like our OEM brakes.
Has anyone ever heard of Posiquiet?

If you look at the chart and compare ceramic (2nd) with semi (1st), not sure why the "pad life" is longer for the semi. I read that ceramics last longer than semis, just more expensive.

I switched to ceramic brake pads on various vehicles over the years thinking they were the best thing going but I have to say that I've been a bit disappointed by them. They still dust, perhaps it is a bit less, or perhaps it is just a different colour in most cases, but they do dust. I found initial bite when cold was not a good feeling, I disliked that the most. I also heard that ceramic pads can lead to higher rates of rotor warping, I don't know how true that is but I did read that somewhere, and I did get some warping after I made the switch to ceramic pads, totally related ?, I don't know for sure. I just bought some aftermarket rotors (Msports) and in the instructions they state not to use ceramic pads with their rotors, they recommend sticking with a carbon ferrous material which I am using.
