Correcting Camber

Correcting Camber
I just installed new coilovers on the car recently, and had all my heights dialed in. The camber in the back was pretty intense after all the height adjustments, so I decided to take the car in for an alignment. For some reason, i had the impression that the s2k didnt need camber kits to get the camber back to factory spec, but the shop told me they couldnt reduce my -3 camber back to about 0. Is this true for you guys as well? And if so did you guys buy camber kits / bolt adjusters for the car? I'm thinking maybe -3 in the back is ok at this point because when I get new wheels, I'll probably need that camber to fit the wheels in anyways. It just looks horrible right now

Uhhh no s2000 drives around with 0 camber.
At the very least you will want -1 all the way around.
If you have wider wheels with anything less than a +55 offset you are going to need some negative camber to avoid rubbing.
How many miles do you have on your chassis? Are your adjusters seized?

I personally loved run -1.8f and -2.0r, .16 total toe in the rear and 0 toe up front on my AP2. Remember, camber doesn't kill tires, toe does. Only reason you need adjustable ball joints on an s2000 is if you want to run more than -2.5 in the front.

I am running a camber of -.8F and -1.6R with total Toe set at 0 for front and around .22 rear. Don't run any positive toe up front but some positive toe in the rear usually helps with rear wheel drive cars. My caster is set at the top end of factory specs. 2006 AP2, 225/255 tires.

thanks for the answers guys! I have about -1 in front and -3 in back currently. And yeaaa I know once i get a set of new wheels, Ill probably need the camber anyways. The toe for the car is all back to factory spec, its just the camber right now.

I'd leave the -1.0 in the front and just dial the rear back in to -2.0 or so.
