Default CR Steering Rack Stiffeners on an Ap1 Any Good ?

I've got my front end opened up while doing an engine swap, which has me thinking about the CR steering rack stiffeners while I wait for my engine to be built.

I found one thread on the stiffeners but I never found any real opinions on whether the upgrade is of any value on a non-CR S2k. It almost seems like they are designed to transmit more feel through the steering rack, is there any real benefit to putting these on a Non-CR model ?, thanks or any opinions.

Instead of two bolts carrying the load you'll have the load distributed to roughly 4 bolts and I say roughly because there's no attachment point for the rear brace to te subframe like there is on the CR

thanks for the quick reply, yeah I was wondering if the subframe even had the 2 mounting holes for the rear stiffener. I guess I could do the front stiffener on its own, but I'm starting to think this probably isn't a worthwhile mod. ?

I wouldn't call it a mod but it is nice knowing that it shouldn't flex as much.

Is there any benefit in just doing the front stiffener on it's own ? cost is not a consideration. Thanks for the replies.

they're cheap and easy to install? i would comment, but i installed the cr stiffeners along with an ap1 rack and the rigid bushings that replace the oem rubber so it's hard to say. all the mods above made a small, but noticable difference. while you're at it, might as well upgrade the bushings to l-con or spoon steering rack bushings since that would be the next place that the cr stiffeners would cause to flex.
