ebc or stoptech?
hey there guys!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend... So my s2000 needs brakes and was looking into upgrading my pads and rotors. Im looking at ebc or stoptech but never used them before. Has anyone in here has had any luck with either of them?
I've never used EBC for my car but had them in my bike and they felt great. Really good initial bite and a very progressive feel after the first bite. I'll be getting some of the red stuff pads soon with their rotors not sure which one I want yet.
have blues on my car. good cold bite, i've only done one track day with them. no smearing or fade. but they stink when you start using them. The cold bite is good enough for the autocross. though, they're not as aggressive as my friends xp12/10 combo.
I have run both brands including green stuff and yellow stuff EBC on my '01 AP1. I now run EBC's Green on every car I own...... I do not track any cars currently.

P.S Anyone out there tired of squealing Infinti brake pads (FX-35 in my case), the EBC Greens will eliminate it completely!! Ask me how I know

I have stoptech pads on my brembo kit. They are very nice pads but I have yet to test them on the track. On the street they feel very much like oem pads. Quite good stopping power and they don't dust to terribly.

EBC green = organic pad, red = ceramic, yellow = metallic, blue = track pad
I run the reds on the street with no squeal and little dust on Racing Brake rotors. These are adequately aggressive for fun and sane street driving. I've heard the Yellows have a new formula with less dust and squeal than before, and still has stronger bite over the reds. I've had track day pads similar to Blues on the street (Hawk HP+), but I wouldn't do that again. The squeal and dust get annoying. I'll run separate dedicated pads for track days in the future.
