EBC or Stoptech
hey there guys!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend... So my s2000 needs brakes and was looking into upgrading my pads and rotors. Im looking at ebc or stoptech but never used them before. Has anyone in here has had any luck with either of them?
I currently have end green stuffs and I autox a bit. It's great for mixed autox and daily. Strong initial bite and little fade. It bites hard enough to trigger abs (though my front tires are somewhat worn). They do squeal a bit though when they're cold.
What sort of usage does the car see and what characteristics are important to you in a pad?
We've preferred the Stotech Streets Over the EBC reds or greens. They don't have a very strong initial bite (some people don't like the pad because of this) but they are very linear and provide enough torque to lock any street tires with enough pedal pressure from the first stop to pretty high up in their temperature range.
If you are open to other suggestions I would recommend the Project Mu NS400. They are a high end street pad at a very reasonable price. If I only drove my car on the street and wanted a quiet, low dusting pad that doesn't sacrifice the performance of other similar options, then these would be my weapon of choice Here are the links if you're interested:
Project Mu NS400 (Front)
Project Mu NS400 (Rear)
