Is anyone having issue for Fortune Auto 500 Coilover? seem like it rides bouncy after couple of months. I have standard setup 9k all around.

I spoke with Chris at fortuneauto and his no help to me.

I'm coming up on a year of ownership on my FA500's 10K springs all around and 12k valving. I have the fronts set at 18 clicks from full soft and rears are set at 12 from full soft. I remember having issues with bounciness at the beginning when I was dialing in the adjustments, but they went away after. Is your factory preload, set by Fortune Auto, the same as it was from factory? Inspect your dampers for leakage/damage as well as play around with the settings but I don't have any issues with mine so far. Car has been daily driven/occasionally driven hard in the canyons, logged about 12k miles on them so far.

They get bouncy on the softer settings, set them like 10 clicks from full hard and see how that goes.

Yes, the preload is lock and tight from factory. I send the coils back to fortune auto last week and spoke with chris and he told me their nothing wrong with them...i'm not sure what to do.

People should really start taking video to convey what they mean by bouncy. It's a subjective description that doesn't help with diagnosis of the issue.

I spoke with Terry, Great customer service and very helpful. Help me upgrade to 510 with custom spring rate for a good price. I wouldn't recommend the FA500 with the standard spring rate. If you do end up with the 500 please upgrade the spring rate with aggressive valve.

I will keep everyone updated.

I had the standard spring rate on the 500s on my previous s2000 and they rode with no issues, on my current s2000 I have a more aggressive springrate and haven't had any abnormal "bouncing" to note.

I have mine set at the firmer end, around 10 clicks I think and the ride is pretty nice. This is with 12/10 spring rates. One thing I would strongly recommend is adding more preload than what FA suggests on the rears. These shocks have 3" of shaft travel before they hot the bump stops. That works out to about 4.5" of wheel travel. With my 10k springs and FA's "max" preload my rear was sitting almost halfway into its travel, so about 2.25" of bump travel at the rear from ride height to the bump stop. I figured this out while trying to diagnose why my car had such diabolical handling at bumpy autocrosses. After I did that it handled beautifully. I cranked on enough preload to put the shock 1/3 of its way into its bump travel. This gave me an additional 1.5" of bump travel at the wheel. Then you can shorten the shock bodies to achieve the desired amount of lowering.

Interestingly enough, the fronts with 12k springs were right at 1/3 travel with their recommended preload.
