Default Fortune Auto 500 with Swift springs or HKS Hipermax IV GT Coilovers

after months of reading and researching and calling places i am stuck trying to choose between these 2 coilovers. car doesnt see the track of i do push it on the street to a safe degree currently almost riding on the bumpstops previous owner put neuspeed springs on the car and heated and bent the fronts to lower further and has been this low for a while so need to replace the hole assembly and want to get the car on something nice. it will be on them till they fail of old age hopefully.

if anyone hear has experience with either coilover i would love to hear what you think about them.

I've been looking at both and I like the HKS coilovers.

The hks actually have a slightly softer spring than the fortune auto

I think the Hipermax IV GT are for the street and the SP are for the track.

This is generally correct but it does not mean the GT's will not handle good at the track. There is a misconception that the GT's are only for the street
and the SP's are just for the track and not be good for the street.

Maybe they changed things up since this review, compared to KW. They didn't have the SP

Yes they did. About a year ago they discountinued the Hipermax III and came out with the Hipermax IV. I had considered these coils (IV) but decided against it because at the time HKS did not have a presence in NA and if they needed to be rebuilt they would need to be sent back to Japan. Now they can be rebuilt in Michigan (Detroit, I think).
