Gauging coilover drop
Bit of a naïve question, as I've not had aftermarket coilovers before:
Before fitting, how can I gauge the drop vs stock suspension? I'm well aware I'll need to tweak on the ground to fine tune - but can I adjust the preload before fitting so they're about right for say, a 1" drop?
Thanks

For a stock vehicle, front ride height, when measured from the camber alignment adjuster is about 7.5 - 8". For the rear, you use the rearmost alignment adjuster and it should be from about 8 - 8.5". These cars just don't sit completely flat, less so if you corner balance.
When you install your coilovers, give the car a day for the suspension to settle, then adjust the ride height.
If you want a guaranteed 1 inch drop, get Koni yellows, mount your stock springs on the lower perches and call it a day.
