I own these coilovers, I went from RSR springs to godspeed coilovers. From what I can tell you from my experience (for whatever it's worth) that I'm more confident when taking a turn. From the lowest settings, the steering feels less responsive, and the mid-range is what I have on my set up now and I love it. If I do spirit runs I turn the front all the way up and the rear close to mid-range, I don't really feel much of a difference here. My RSR springs were a nice drop height, but felt like the rear end will cut loose at any time, and it has dangerously 30mph in the rain or just driving. Overall even though these are cheap, and I have zero experience with suspension set ups, I'm pretty happy with these untill the day I get money for KW 3's or ZEAL

if you don't track your car, you'll never be able to utilize any benefits that quality coilovers offer so you may as well.
i'd say lower quality coilovers include ksport, d2, f2, and megan. but at least these are dampening adjustable (even though most of them don't do shit lol).
then there are ones even lower than those that aren't adjustable like godspeed, blackworks, emusa.
i'm pretty confident in saying all the coilovers listed above will perform better than stock (including lowering springs) simply because the spring rates are stiffer, and spring rates are what you feel the most (dampening is what complements and control the spring though), so if you don't track they'll all be good enough to give you a good drop and some fun on the street
if you do track and wanna go cheap then go with megan with their 12f and 14r, the very stiff springs will help compensate for inefficient dampening tuning even if it's just a tiny tiny tiny bit.

^nice, get some reviews. you may even want to consider emusa if you've already decided to go cheap. at 500 shipped compared to the 625 shipped for godspeed, even if you get crap you may spend less doing it lol
the spring rates for both are the same btw
