The HKS Hipermax and Buddy Club N+ are on completely different levels. Price and what they are meant for. From what I have read, the N+ are the best for their price and ride quality on the street. While also being up for occasional track days. The Hipermax seem to be much more aggressive, as far as valving and spring rates. And are much more aimed at track use. And they are much more expensive. I don't think the two can really be compared. What are you looking to get out of a set of coilovers? Do you track your car?
I'd say the HKS Hipermax III sport are just barely tolerable for daily use in New York on the softest setting. It really depends on the person tho.
Back in Houston, Texas where the roads are a ton more smooth I'd love these even more and wouldn't hesitate to stiffen them up a bit.
I've found that one or two sharp bumps is no problem at all. But when you have a really torn up road with bumps/cracks for a block or more is when the valving starts to be a little annoying.
Transition from side to side on a smooth road feels amazing tho.

I ran the Hipermax III Sport for six months. I thought they were surprisingly forgiving at medium settings even with the 255/35/18 tires I was on. Rutted roads did upset the car though- they just don't have the exotic high-speed damping characteristics found in other coilovers.
For autocross/track use, they are a nice entry-level coilover with proper spring rates out of the box.

I have been daily driving on these for the past few months and am embarassed to say that I believed reviews claiming these were not streetable.
These are comfy. They are not harsh at all by any means. Jesus people.
