How can I straighten my steering wheel?
Hello all,
Every time I get an alignment my steering wheel is slightly to the left when I go straight. It does not lean to a side if I don't touch the wheel, just the steering wheel itself is not centered.
I've gotten like 3 alignments to try and straighten it but it always goes to the same spot.
I've tried to remove the wheel and recenter it but it is between two adjustment points (thats how close it is to being centered).
Is there anything I can do? It is driving me nuts.

Same thing happened when I replaced my steering wheel. Have your alignment guy let you sit in the car and keep the wheel exactly where you want it while the alignment is being performed. Simple fix really.

Tires are brand new. When I got it done I requested someone sit in the car and they obliged. Still to the left.
Should I have them re-do it? Was hoping I would have another option.

If the wheel is a little to the left, you need to make the car turn left without turning the wheel. Make the right side steering tie rod a bit longer by lengthening it 1/2 turn on the adjuster. Then shorten the left side tie rod by an equal amount. Now your total front toe is the same, but the wheel should be closer to centered (or centered if you're lucky).
Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Most likely what happened is at some point someone disengaged the steering linkage in your car (this is common practice for instance when replacing a clutch). When they re-connected it, they probably misaligned the wheel by a tooth or two.
That would be the first place I would look.

Is your camber and caster numbers the same on both sides?
This quote above would work as well but depending on how far the steering wheel is off by, a half turn might be way too much.

Camber or caster won't affect this, the issue is either tire, toe, or subframe alignment.
