Thumbs up How do I setup Tein flex coilover?

I bought a used set of Tein Flex coilovers on Ebay. Since they are used, there is no manual to tell me how much preload to put on the coils, how to set shockbody for the ride height "starting point", damper settings and etc.... Can anyone give me a little info. I dont wanna slam my car. I just want to take a little of the gap out and keep it driveable.

Install manual: http://www.tein.com/tech_info/inst/6a58u.pdf

I always just counted threads. According to Teins site though the FLEXs range is:

front
+.9
-2.9
full range = 3.8"

rear
+.9
-2.2
full range = 3.1"

...so set the front and rear independently using a tape measure and then count the threads to make sure they are exactly even.

If they are used why are you worrying about preloading the springs?

As far as the dampers go, I would max them out in a certain direction and then work backwards to bring them into the middle setting. See how you like it and then go from there.

don't max them out to "soft" direction - according to Tein they can go beyond 16 clicks but this will damage them.
so put them on fully firm and then go to the soft but no more than 16 clicks.

good luck !!!

Thanks for the link to the install pdf . I was looking for it on Teins website but I guess I missed it.

Make sure you buy spanner wrenches. The used set that just sold on ebay did not include them.
