How to stop sliding
I was doing a few runs and I find that my S (on stock suspension) slides in the rear. I was lapping with a G37 with 2 passengers and his car didnt seem to be sliding/slipping/drifting and he was going faster than me. Do I need rear strut bar+sway bar&etc? or will new coilovers/upgraded suspension do the job?
PS: When I was turning, I did not step on the gas (didnt stomp on the break either).
Thanks!

Why not try it before spending money on suspension? I'm guessing that's part of the issue. If the alignment checks out, you can try disconnecting the rear anti-roll bar. Or, you can install a stiffer front anti-roll bar. Some of it is likely to be sharp steering inputs, as well. In completely stock trim, my car was a handful until realizing how to transfer the weight in a manner that didn't upset the suspension.

I'm assuming you have an '00 or '01. Rather than disconnecting the rear sway bar, replace it with an '02 or later rear sway bar.
Braking shifts the weight to your front wheels, accelerating shifts the weight back to the rear.
So, you want to brake hard enough going into the turn, that you can accelerate and get the weight back on the rear to keep it from sliding out. That's the beauty of a 50/50 balanced car.

Oh, it's an 03. I did brake during the turn but after the turn it was when it started to slip. In track school, I believe they said if I started to slip (spin out) RWD= let go of gas not to gas it. That's what I learned.
PS:I have stock suspension and getting coilovers soon so I dont want to waste $120 on an alignment.

IDk if you have done much track driving before but just getting use to the car can be part of it. The overstear this car is know for can throw off a driver that is not use to the car. Tracking the S takes a lot of SMOOTH Throttle and Turn Input to get it where you want it to go, Also if you going to get tires and track the car again, I'd get some Dunlop Direzza Star specs. I normally use some ADVAN R comps for track driving, but ive been on the track with the Star specs and you should find a great improvement with handling.
Good luck!
