Default KW V3 Settings

I just installed a set of KW V3 on the vehicle and I am happy in terms of comfort with the factory settings (out of the box). I do think it is too soft even a lil bit softer than stock coils. I was wondernig what settings do everyone on their KW V3s? This is a street car but will going to Buttonwillow a few times. I don't mind having a harsher suspension ride.

There's a few threads on here with topics on settings for KW, search for KW settings. If you can't find it just use google and search kwv3 settings s2ki. I personally use Billy's settings with minor changes.

Did you get the newer design KW's where adjusting compression is changed with out a tool?

I think it's the older design since I have to use an allen key to adjust settings? Is that the older design? I have a few questions though. Rebound is for body roll? What does compression do?

Compression controls how quickly the weight is transferred. If its too hard on the compression, it will quickly overload the tires. So R-comps can handle harder compression, while hard rubber on no-season tires need softer compression.

This is wrong.

Compression controls the unsprung mass of the car (wheels, tires, and some of the suspension). It controls how the tire interacts with the road. But you are correct about too much compression heating the tires faster.

Rebound controls weight transfer.

You don't have to have a harsh ride.

Turn the compression to full soft on the street, and then up at the track. Rebound will probably not change much between street and track.
