KW V3 Suspension setup
hello, im considering a set of kw v3's with 40k miles on them for $1000
i thought i would run this through you guys before looking into buying them.
should i be worried that there is 40k miles on this setup?
also the owner says one of the top damper adjuster is harder to turn then the rest and that when he first adjusted them, a bit of leak came out(he suspects the previous owner before him overtightened it)
thanks s2ki

i called kw earlier, they quoted me $100 to rebuild per shock. im lookin at $1400 if i DO have to rebuild them. still worth it?
would a rebuilt shock be just the same as a new shock?

it depends, 4000 hard track miles can retire a set of damper with ease, or improperly adjusted damper with one speed bump.
performance damper do not last nearly as long as oem, 40k sounds like it could use some refreshing.
make sure you factors in downtime, parts and shipping too, i know those are not covered by the "service charge" for most damper repair.
does KW have authorized rebuilder in the state? it would be a royal cu_t to send to the fatherland and back huh?
good luck, it does not strike me as a good deal once i factor in all that to be very honest with u
