Default Megan Coilovers problems

Hey guys!

So i installed Megan Coil overs the other day. Just have one problem.

When I adjusted them. The rears are fine. But the front two are measured different.

The threads of the driver side coil is at 3 1/6 of an inch.

While the passenger side is at 4 inches even when measuring the threads...

But they aren't the same ride height... This part is what i don't understand... And the passenger ride height is still somewhat lower than the drivers side...

Anyone know why this is?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks Guys!

Adjusting pre-load of the bushings is important. You have to jack the control arms up to set it properly for both sides and then tighten things down. Unfortunately, our bushings are designed to give some spring and are fixed position with the rubber designed to give instead of spin in it's seat. I would have preferred one that spins and just relies entirely on the shock for suspension rebound characteristics, but I'm sure there's a reason they designed it that way.

So it being at different measurments... is that bad?

The coils should be set at the same height before install from side to side. Front set can be different height from back set, but both fronts should be the same height.

You need to make sure that the shock is fully extended when you preload the spring. Many people don't do this and they just leave the middle measurement the same

When I installed my Tein springs, the passenger side sat 1/2 inch lower than the drivers side, so I just made a spacer to put on top of the shock body.

I shouldnt have to pre-load the coils though right?

It comes BNIB already set im assuming... Everything was tight and firm straight from the box.

These are Megan EZ Streets Coil overs btw.

You don't have to preload anything on the coil. Don't touch the spring perches unless there's something specific you're trying to achieve. If I'm not mistaken, your shock is adjustable by spinning the shock body into the lower mount, which is where you should be adjusting the height (and I assume you are by your previous statements). If you do adjust the spring perches, be prepared for premature failure and no warranty

Yes I didnt touch the two rings right below the sprind itself on the coil.

I only touched the one below on the threads itself. and turned the coils by hand. Clock-wise to lower height and counter-clock-wise to heighten.
