Default Mintex Xtreme Racing Brake Pads

Great price for this pad. Low noise & low non corrosive dust for a race pad that's comfortable on the street.

Don't require a lot of pedal pressure and work well when cold. Anything else???????

if they're cheap, quite, don't dust and grab great on cold - there is probably nothing race oriented about them except the name...

exactly, you can't expect the compound to work in cold(like stock OEM) and the extreme temp of racing.

Most race pad will howl, feels wooden when it's out of it's operational temp range.(not to mention miserable stopping distance, rotor scoring and terrible brake dust when used on the street)

any hot lap on the pad yet for the OP?

They stop much better than oem, dust like ap2 and make a little noise, nothing major. I speak from experience not speculation. Check the UK forum, many favorable reviews. They cheap because they are discontinued close outs. They used to be the same price as DS25000. Just trying to save some coin for people who can't even afford to become members on this site. You can save your lunch money and buy a real set of pads instead of using ones from Wal-Mart.

Thanks for the information. I may pick up a set. Any idea what to use for rear pads that match the extremes? The website only has front pads.

They didn't make Xtreme's for the rear, most use the standard Mintex in the back. I've used oem AP2's in the rear.

Thank you for the tip again. I just placed an order. I just may use the AP1 or AP2 for the rears.
