Default Need help deciding on springs.

I can't decide on what springs to get, either Swift Spec R or Eibach Pro Kit.

I have decided that I do not need the luxury of dampening capabilities with coilovers because I will most likely "set and forget". I daily drive my car and fear that the swift spec r might be too low for my needs. I currently have a shine spec a bumper and an ASM style front lip and my front bumper sits around 5.5 inch from the ground.

My goal is to lower the car a little, while not harming the geometry of the stock suspension and keeping the same handling and ride characteristics as stock.

I understand that springs cause premature wear on OEM dampers, but will it be a significant difference? Swift claims they are "developed" for OEM dampers. Also, will I need any drive shaft spacers?

Any insight on what springs to get will be much appreciated

Thanks!

If you just want to lower a little, how about buying a set of koni yellows and using the lower perch to drop the ride height .5inches? That's the route I'm leaning towards.

I just installed Eibachs a week ago. Perfect drop IMO, roughly 1" or so all around. Ride quality is the same as OEM from my experience. You cant go wrong in my opionion. Got mine from Tire Rack all said and done for $247 to my door. You will need spacers if you start to vibrate from the cv cup issue. My car has been lowered for about 10k miles on coilovers and now springs. I havent had any issues with vibrations. The lower your car gets the more the axle slides away from the normal area where the spider sits in the CV cup. With the amount the Ebiachs lower the car You may never need them.

you could get swift sport springs, which don't lower as much as the swift spec-r's
they drop .75" in the front and 1" in the back; while the spec-r's drop 1.25" all around, heard they lower a little more than that though, like 1.5"
