Default Need Help- Rotora Mini Big brake kit Calipers

Guys,

I'm interested in the Rotora mini big brake kit calipers that fit on the OEM size rotors. I contacted Rotora because I want to use my AP2V1 wheels. I needed to know if they will fit with any spacers. They came back with the following.

Can someone decode this in plain english as to what size spacers I need for AP2V1 wheels? Do I need anything else?

WHEEL CHART

A (MM) 35

B (MM) 170

C (MM) 98

what its saying is that the front of the caliper is 35 mm away from the front of the disc, the caliper itself is 72 mm tall and from center to top of caliper is 170 mm.

hope this helps. i do not know what size spacers if any you will need

Do a search. I thought you would need like a 20mm spacer. Definitely will need something though.

I did search. Couldn't find any definitive answers. I was hoping someone could derive an answer from the data I've compiled from Rotora direct.

your absolute minnimum spacer thickness would have to be 15mm

basically they're showing you values that you need to calculate clearance for whatever given wheels you may use.

unless you have some cool 3D measuring device you're going to need a couple or straight edges and an extra set of hands will help.

(A) is the distance between the mating flange of the rotor hat to the outermost point of the caliper. So the 35mm they gave you is the total distance between where the wheel mounts to the rotor and the outermost point of the caliper.

forgot to mention this. yes, you will most likely need some kind of spacer to clear. I gave you the method to check yourself at home for clearance, if (when) you don't clear between the caliper and wheel face you'll just have to note how far past the inside of the wheel face the measurements i gave you are and that will be your minimum required wheel spacer.

so example, if you take your second measurement and find that the 37mm mark (remember 37mm already accounts for the min 2mm clearance) is 15mm past the inside edge of your wheel spoke then you will need a 15mm spacer, if it's 25mm past then you'll need a 25mm spacer, etc.
