Default New brakes and rotors...still problems

Hey guys on MY01 I got my brakes and rotors replaced by a local shop that my uncle trusts. I had all 4 brand new centric premium rotors.( blanks). And I gave them all brand new ebc red stuff pads. On my way home from the shop my brakes felt terrible and when I got home there was smoke coming from all 4 brakes/rotors. Is this normal?! I don't know what to do. Did they install it wrong? Is there a break in period?

the smoke cold be from the oil coating left on the rotors to prevent rust. they should have cleaned the oil off with brake cleaner before installing them. or maybe they just cleaned the oil on the rotor surface and not the hat.

did you bed-in the pads properly.

hey guys, my brakes still feel washy and now that i look at my rotors i dont think the full brake pad is touching the rotor. you can see where the pad is making contact and where it is not...i dont understand this at all. how does a pad not full make contact with the rotor? you can fully see where the shinny part it and where it is stick dark and unworn. what do i do?
