Default New discs rusting up

Hi all I recently replaced my discs and pads and overhauled the calipers new paint and decals, but the discs have rust all over them already, how can I stop this, it's unsightly and although I live in close proximity to the sea my sister discs on her new car parked next to mine are not rusty in the slightest, it's worth mentioning I wiped the new discs over with thinners before installing to get off the oils.

You dont. It's totally normal if you let the car sit for a few days. Discs are made of iron, and iron rusts quickly in high humidity. As soon as you drive the car the rust goes away...so just drive the car more. I assume your sister drives her car more than you drive yours.

this is standard procedure, as you dont want the oils getting into the brake pads. the dealership I work for uses brake cleaner, then a bit of sand paper to scuff it up a bit.
