i currently have standard my05 front and rear sway bars. i want the most solid sway bars i can find. whats the best way to go for the money? everyone keeps telling me to go for the my99 sway bar as its the thickest oem spec. i also have a front whitline cross member installed.

Oh anyone try out the Godspeed bar? 30.29mm and supposedly solid. Plus it's pretty reasonable at $120. I just can't get myself to purchase the Gendron.

Purchased for $100 shipped. Awaiting item for review.
It's for $80 shipped on Amazon now.

They are saying 40% stiffer than stock. But are they comparing it to the MY00 bar which is the stiffest at 393 lb/in? If so, this thing ought to be 550 lb/in. My math which compared two identical bars at 28.5mm and 30.5mm though only resulted in about 520 lb/in. Don't know about material differences etc.

EDIT - I installed this last night. Fit perfectly. Used stock endlinks and it all lined up including bushings etc. Roll stiffness feels significantly stronger. For $80 compared to $350+ elsewhere, lol.

It measured 1.21" OD while the one I removed (stock?) measured 1.06".

slight difference in price!!!! WTF!

Go for the my99 sway bar for £40 & paint it Red that should stiffen things
>93 lb extra.
if you want £500-£700 quality go with ones with bearings

A good read here >

Almost as cheap as a used AP1 bar! What's your overall setup, any updates?

Last night I managed to get a MY1999 front ARB which is 28.2mm diamter / 393 lbs, (for £50 delivered from ebay!) this is almost exactly the same stiffness as the MY 08/09 Club Racer front ARB. (Currently my 2002 front ARB at 300 lbs). Now hopefully this front 393 lbs ARB coupled with the std MY02 rear 396 lbs ARB will be a much better setup on my MY02 car & might just be the sweet spot when combined with Coilovers.

I got my MY00-01 FSB on eBay too ...it was like $40 shipped lol

Also got a MY06 RSB locally for $30 or so.

They both went on my MY03 (similar specs to your MY02). Feels so much better, balanced, predictable and easily controllable. Much more rear grip and traction. A lot less twitchy and floaty feeling during turns.

Thats a good setup. After fitting coilovers and rear bumpersteer kit if the rear end still needs calming then I may move to a softer rear ARB from e. g. a 2006 or 2008.

Have you thought what the difference would be between changing to the softer 2006 Rear sway bar or just disconnecting your 2002 rear sway bar completely?
