Integra Type R DC5 brake caliper swap

Integra Type R DC5 brake caliper swap
came across a post from 2013 stating this option is best option for a bbk on a budget. not so much bbk bc of no different in rotor diameter, but still a nice 4 pot upgrade.
has anyone done this or know of a success story?
For a cheaper fitment, the 02-06 Integra Type-R from Japan (DC5) has a 4 piston caliper that goes over an 11.8" rotor and uses a bigger pad (I'm almost positive its similar to that of an EVO8 or a 350Z brembo package.) This caliper IS at least a bit lighter than stock, you get a better pad, and less bias change. Maybe not as much of a monster of an upgrade since you have the same light rotors, but those calipers sell for like 400$ a pair or so on the net. Also, the bolt screws to the knuckle are the same diameter, the offset to the rotor is about the same, so this is a much better OEM option with no major machine work and a lot less money!

I have. I had to take the calipers to a machine shop to mill the mounting points down 7mm. I added SS lines, Project Mu HC+800 pads from a 350z track package and had to add a 15mm spacer for my 17x8 +45 advan RSs to fit. It was a fun project that was literally one face palm after another since there was no DIY write up, it was all trial and error. I spent less than what i would have on a used Spoon caliper set but i would probably never do this again. I ended up coming across a great deal on a stoptech ST40 kit.
