Default Ohlins DFV height question..

Hello everyone,

i have assembled, adjust preload and height as the ohlins manual tell me. I have adjust everything to the mm with a caliper Vernier.

I have installed the suspension on my car and torque everything with load on bushing to set everything correctly.

When I dropped the car back on it wheel, is it normal that the front look higher then the back ? No, I didn’t reverse install the spring.

No I didn’t reverse install the shocks.

Everthing was doubled checked and perfectly torque.

Thank you for the help.

Guillaume.

No that doesn't seem normal, is it the new Öhlins kit (HOSMI21) that you got?
What is the height between center of wheel to the edge of the fender on all four corners?

Maybe new kit, old instructions?

Where did the instructions come from? Maybe you received, or went online and found, instructions with setup specs for the old Ohlins, for the old spring rates they used to use. Perhaps the new Ohlins require different setup specs?

Do the instructions have a version number or date or model # printed on them?

To answer your question,

In front i am near 13 3/4 inch
In rear i am near 13 1/4 inch

It's official I need to adjust height in front since in the back they are are the lower position as show in ohlins manual. Clearly the front need to go lower.

What do you think if I do 13.4 in front and 13.6 in the rear ? Do you have a recommend height to adjust for optimal performance ?

Thanks

Rake can be used to adjust handling balance, raising the front or lowering the rear will pull oversteer tendency out of the car (you won't feel this during normal driving) so short of it being a track car you can just adjust the height to where it looks good to you.
