The reason they raise up the car is so the shock/spring combo can drop down after the mounting nuts are removed from the top hat, and then the strut bar fits over the holes. It is not the car flexing, it is that the shock/spring combo drops down which then provides more access. Nothing more than that.

Strut bars are great places to rest your arm when doing engine work, that's it, some look good too, but not the DC sports one, buy them for any reason you like but don't expect a handling improvement. I always had one because I like the way the engine bay looks with them.

There is quite a large cross brace between the towers already.

There aren't too many advantageous places to use bolt-in bracing on this car.

If a strut bar was helpful, Honda would have put one there like they've done on lots of their cars. They're not shy to use it when needed. There's one in the back of the S2000, as a matter of fact.

Don't think the rear is a chassis aid bar a such as its too weak, its only there for bolting on componants & a safety devise for exhaust rubbers failure.
Way to thin for any bracing benefits. And as said, Honda are not shy from doing if needed.

I was talking about the upper bar.

But...the lower tie bar does likely serve some purpose as a brace.

I don’t have the oem cross brace so I can argue I need the strut bar. But on an oem car ya it’s kinda useless. U rather get an LHT brake booster brace.

Huh?

There is a rear stamped steel tie bar under the car, and a upper bolt in steel tube one for the rear right behind the trunk divider that essentially looks like a shock tower bar.
