How did that wheel spin, was it relatively free?
My guess is the caliper is binding a bit, why'd you need to replace the pin? The binding might not be a lube issue but more of a fit issue, possibly too loose?

It was free both in and out of gear, whereas both wheels spun freely in gear. I guess I should put the rear up in the air, step on the brakes, and see if it still spins freely

Well I had two Pin As in the drivers side caliper when there was suppose to be Pin B on top and A on bottom. Not sure why though.

You lube the shaft during pad replacements? Mac did a good write up on that somewhere and is considered an expert in the artform

The pin shafts? If so, then yes. Had to glob up the tip and dump a few iterations of grease into the boot with the pin itself. Otherwise the boot would just scrape it off. Anyway, new Pin B installed and lubed. New brakes feel so good. Off to the track tomorrow!

Be careful with how much you lube the pins. The pad may have worn poorly after install due to too much grease and once they wore enough to move the caliper away they probably started to wear normally but the damage was already done.

What track day did you run? You don't have a rollbar?
