Default Rotors

I am planning to upgrdade my brake set-up but its primary use is for the street. Occasionally I'll do some spirited driving and that's pretty much it. When I was searching back then I heard AP1 brake pads produce less brake dust then AP2 pads? I might go with the AP1 brake pads because the brake dust is horrible with AP2 pads. I just need to know what are some some rotors that are good for street driving comparable to OEM but a little better? Should I upgrade my calipers too or no? Thanks guys!

hate to brake (<---pun intended) it to you but stock rotors are fine for what you're doing. calipers are fine, too. may want to change out your brake fluid annually to something with higher temp boiling points (ate blue or motul rbf) and change to an aftermarket street+ pad if the stock pads are fading too much for you on your spirited runs.

For rotors, Centric Premium work very good and are much cheaper than OEM Honda rotors.

Even if your racing, all you need is fluid and pads (and the cheapest set of rotors you can get cause they don't last too long and need to be replaced often). OEM brakes are really, really, good. And this is coming from a guy who use to own a J's BBK.

Does anyone know the Cheapest place to buy Centric premium rotors?

If there is a store in socal that stocks them that would be even better

I just use the google shopping tool to look for the lowest price with shipping. I forget how much they run, but you can find them for like +/- $35 bucks with cheap shipping too. It doesn't really matter what rotors you use...cheap is always the best. Just buy plain rotors with no slots or drilled holes and think of them as a wear item.

BTW if you ever order brake pads from Carbotech you can also order replacement centric rotors through them all at the same time for really cheap.

Got my rotors from tire rack. Worked out to be $220 delivered for 4 rotors. Centric with the painted hub/leading edge for no rust.

You all forgot about stainless braided brake lines

This is a good area of improvement in the S2K and 90% of all other cars that come with the normal un-braided lines.

With that said, Yes, the stock setup is excellent. Also, OEM HONDA pads are the way to go.

About rotors, how about Power Slot slotted only rotors? I've yet to try them. Anyone used em? Im thinking of changing my fronts to these since they have 140K mi of rust
