get it aligned right. S2ks are very picky with alignment. Here are my specs, if I could do it again Id run more front - camber.
Front
-1.8 camber
0 toe
Rear
-2.5 camber
0.2 degrees total toe 0.1 each side

I would only do it if for whatever reason you wanted a lower ride height, but thats about it. The helper springs keep the main spring in constant contact when there is no weight on that corner (when the vehicle is jacked up), it prevents the main spring from flopping around. Many people have done it with no adverse effects. Did you get it aligned??

installing coil overs requires a little more attention to details vs struts and springs. get the measuring tape out and measure everything - since it is already installed pick a spot on the upper part of the strut (top of spring) and measure distance to bottom of spring (lower perch), then measure from same location at top to the bottom of complete strut. compare those measurements to the other side of car. Make sure your spring preload is set correct. If you dropped the car beyond 1" then steering feel is impacted due to the angle of control arm/tie rods. You can pick up a bump steer kit which will correct this, front roll center adjusters will get other parts lined up correctly. The H&R setup is very nice but lacks adjustability, but still nice. Dropping the S2 is easy, dropping it and improving on the handling is difficult.
