you will be fine without the helper springs. Also, with the H&r coilovers, there should be NO preload on the spring unless you raised both perches high enough to actually preload/compress the spring. The reason for the helper springs is that during full rebound or when the car is airborne (jacked up in the air) the helper spring keeps the main spring in constant contact with the tophat so that it does not flop around. You will be perfectly fine for daily driving, but expect the helper spring to flop around if you get some air underneath the tire.

Your right there is no pre load on these coils off the car. I meant when there on the car with the wheel jacked up the spring is not loose.
