Default Science of Speed vs. Centric

So I've gotten mixed emotions on both brands, I'm looking to upgrade my brake setup but I'm stuck between Centric and Science of Speed. Which ones would you brake gurus go for to hold up to my 500hp lol. I'd rather not buy the cheaper rotor and be disappointed.

mixed emotions? really?
i never saw single bad word about them.

anyway - both are fine. If Centric - make sure it's "premium" version.
stopping 500hp car is not around "improved" rotors.

Mixed emotions meaning what will hold up to my type of braking. And if its not rotors what would you upgrade on a 500hp car?

Brake pads. What type of braking are you talking about? are you tracking, doing twisties, just freeway pulls, what specifically?

Slotted rotors, pads, and better fluid. That's what I'd do on a 500hp car. Neither of your posted options is a bad idea. If you want pricing on Centric stuff, PM me.

Also, keep in mind that tires are just as important for stopping as the brakes themselves.

Yeah everything is put into the cars perspective, I'll most likely be running stock pads with upgraded rotors, motul rb600 fluid which I already have and a set of stainless lines. Driving style will mostly be twisties and freeway pulls. I was informed that the stock pads are fine, I'm not looking for a pad that squeals or makes alot of dust because that would annoy the crap out of me, but if anyone has any other alternatives as far as pads or rotors please feel free to chime in.

ur rotor is not going to improve ur braking its the pad. if ur running an oem pad u cant really ask the car to stop better than it already does just buy changing the rotor. fluid wont make a difference either considering that u wont get it to boil with ur driving. only thing that might improve break feel would be a bleed and only if theres air in the system.

i have star specs and the sos brakes with hawk hps pads... i love the braking ability. however the pedal is very stiff so get used to it (ss lines). the hps + were too agressive for me. as for noise. anything slotted/drilled/j hooks will make noise... they arent smooth so they arent silent. but you wont notice it unless you are top down between an 18 wheeler and a wall.

1 for sos.

EBC yellow will break down fast if you go on a track, destroyed them in 2 hpde events. If you want something better than stock on pads, try Axxis ult pads. In regards to SOS rotors I use them on the front and cetric blanks on the rear and they do a great job. If you want to hit the track hard and don't care about noise try cobalt or carbotech. I use cobalt XR2 front and XR4 rear and love it.
