Shredding front tires
The front of my car is supposed to be aligned to -1.5° camber with 0 toe. It's lowered about 2", nothing ridiculous. I'm not a "get-yo-fitment-hellaflush" kinda guy. This is after about 4000 miles of easy street driving. Something is seriously shredding the inside of my tires. The rest of the tire looks brand new. Any thoughts? Alignment machine off maybe? It drives great.
My rear tires, which are at -2.5° camber with 1/4" total toe in, look brand new.

macr88 - Yes it's equally worn on both front tires.
spdracerut - Spec sheet shows 0 toe in front. Perhaps dialing a 1/8 - 1/4" or so of toe in may help? I think the factory specs call for a little bit of front toe. I really like the way the steering feels with zero toe, but if I'm going through tires every oil change, it's not worth it.

I personally run my car at -2 deg up front with 1/32" toe-In on each side so 1/16" total toe-In and it doesnt eat away with my tires too much at all. With the 1/32" toe-In you'll get 0 toe when you start getting up to speed. I ran it about a week ago at driftwater (open track day) and steering felt really good too. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip too... the more I read the more it points at a toe issue. I'll try to dial a little toe in when I get my next set of tires. (a week or so)

Yeah I figured 0 toe wouldn't shred anything but apparently I was wrong. It seems counter-intuitive that toe in would be easier on tires.
If you're at the next driftwater I might be out there in my car. Maybe I'll see you there.

0 toe is not shredding your tires. What are your tire pressures? What shocks and springs do you run? Looks like it might be KW. Maybe you run your shocks too stiff, but I doubt it. What bothers me is the apparent cupping between the inner two tread blocks. If it was even for both I'd say it was toe, but seeing it uneven makes me think otherwise.

The KWs have been on there for about 15k miles. The tire wear didn't start until this set of wheels/tires and the alignment change that went with them. This alignment has a degree less canned than its had in the past and 0 toe vs whatever the factory spec is. Even though this sounds to me like its less aggressive, something is causing premature inner tire wear. The toe change sounds believable to me, but im open to hear any ideas you might have as well.
