Default Spoon Calipers

hey guys

was wondering if anyones tried to shave the a bit of the front bottom corners (the two little humpy parts) for a tiny bit of clearance?

is the caliper just made of metal on the outside with brake lines running through them (front one side to the other)?

I'm sure they could but I wouldn't. Less metal more heat. Plus you can run a small spacer if you need the clearance.

For the spoon calipers you would have to cut, not shave half of the front heat shields behind the front rotors.

If you need any help you can pm me and i can pretty much guide you threw it, recently sold my spoons and my car

Yes, they can be shaved, I shaved my corners off specifically for wheel clearance, nothing wrong when done properly.

how much (in mm wise) do u think one could shave off the caliper until its 'dangerously unacceptable'?

hey guys!

does anyone know the dimensions of the spoon caliper?

what i want to know is how much 'meat' (metal) is there from the front side of the caliper to where the pistons start at? (if that question made any sense lol)

Hi,
I am using Honda S2000 00-03.The Spoon 4-pot caliper has been specifically designed and tested for Honda applications. Unlike other 4-pot calipers, Spoon calipers are direct fit and are designed to work with the stock brake system, including the ABS. Spoon calipers use stock Honda size brake pads, which gives users incredible flexibility in choosing pads.
