Spoon Front swaybar
Hi everyone! I just picked up an 03 s2k and am looking to start this project with suspension. Right now, I hope to race autox in the stock class for the rest of the year and means the only thing I can change is the front swaybar. I am looking to do things right with this car and not go the cheap route.
My understanding is Spoon makes excellent quality parts that work great, but I can barely find anyone who sells the swaybars (stabilizers) and I haven't seen any comments about them on here besides one thing on their diameter. Can anyone speak from experience on how good the Spoon front swaybar is and if it is ok to put on without the rear swaybar or Spoon coilovers?

If you're getting into auto-x, I think you'll find a hollow 27mm bar will not be stiff enough. A lot of guys are running 1.25" to 1.5" front anti-sway bars, with race compound tires. If you're running street tires, you will not need the front bar to be as stiff but my guess it that you'll want something stiffer than the Spoon FSB. I'm running 255 non-staggered street tires on 17x9s and I run my Saner FSB on the stiffest setting.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Interesting, I wonder what the Spoon setup is aimed at then? Road racing maybe?
What is your suspension setup? I suggest reading some of the threads in the R&C forum. There are a lot of auto-x setups discussed in many threads that could help you decide what you should and should not change.

I am running completely stock right now so I can compete in the stock class for autocross. All the threads I have seen suggest I should get that Saner bar that is impossible to get. I have tried to email the Saner guy. I will have to see if he emails me back.

I was able to order new bushings from them about 4 months ago.
If I could do it over again, I would go with the 1.375" hollow Gendron bar. It's a nice piece of hardware, though you'll pay over twice as much for it.
Good luck
