Default spring questions!

hey guys im looking for springs for my 01 s2k. i was recntley looking at coilovers but that wont be happening. i really am looking for the drop mostly. i dont mind if i dont gain handling but i really dont want to lose any handling at all. im looking for a good drop 1.25 or 1.5. ive been looking at the espeliar asd's and the skunk 2 springs. i know the skunk 2 is just about a 2inch drop but i do want to know is will 2 inchs lower hurt handling? is there anything negative about going that low? is there any springs that drop 1.25 inches-1.5inchs?

You might also want to check your alignment just to be sure nothing changed cause if it does say bye bye to your tires

im on 215/40/18 - Front 245/35/18 - Rear....in all fairness though, ive only had the springs on for about 3 weeks, so the may not have completely settled, alignment seems fine so far...
