Default springs? Neuspeed or Eibach?

New owner..only thing I need to change to make perfect is the suspension
and maybe lighter wheels as well(and of course a hardtop later).

Anyone riding Neuspeed springs and neuspeed sway bars?

Or anyone using Eibach springs?

I've always been happy with the Eibachs..plus I like that they only lower the
car an 1" compared to the 1.25" with the Neuspeeds.
The car is soooooo low...I have no desire to lower it and don't really mind
the 2" wheel wells but I've really got to firm up the suspension and stop the
body roll.

thanks!

Thanks all for the feedback...

I've used Eibachs before on an '01 GTI and also an '07 GTI
and they helped significantly...but!

I've got an AP2 and after doing a search I've found there might
be a problem riding on Eibachs as their spring rates are really
set for the AP1 and use on the AP2 leads to the rear-end being
very very squirrely which I really don't want to add to.

Might give Eibach a call and see what kind of info they have.

You are correct about the Eibach rates, which is why I never bought them. The neuspeed rates are very similar to those of the OEM ap2 springs which is really nice, but if you don't want LOW, then don't get these, as they lower the car usually more than the advertised 1.25".

The "perfect" suspension from the factory is fine. Some body roll is good to have as well. It's not an A-Stock dominating car for nothing.

But whatever, have fun.

Neuspeeds are a very nice spring, but they may go lower than you would like. Personally it's perfect for me - it's not crazy low, just right IMO

I heard that the Eibach spring rate in the rear is very close to the CR? Can anyone confirm this?

I also have an AP2 and am considering Eibachs in the spring to get rid of the 4x4 stock wheel gap.
