Great write up. I just have one question. Do I have to turn the damper setting to 1 before install the motor?

Thanks.
the manual didn't say anything about it, so i don't think you need to. we just left it as is. i think once you replace the black hex screw with the gold one, the edfc will take care of it. does anyone else know?

Anyone with good ideas as to where to mount the EDFC controller in an AP2 since center console is different from AP1? I have dual EDFC so I need to mount 2 units.

I have dual EDFC because my Tein SRC suspension have both compression and rebound adjustments per shock.

Hi, first of all, merry christmas and 2nd great write up on the install of the EDFC and wiring, I just it myself
I only have a question, when I install the motor on the shock as it is indicated by the manual itself, when I finish the last 2 full revolutions, then screw the motor, when I want to try to screw it counterclockwise it wont go, so I screw it about 1.5 clockwise, the motor wobles again, so I screw the motor and then it becomes all tight. When you do the 1 turn clock and counterclockwise, does it go full? Does it go more then 1? And also when you installed the motor, did it go all the way in?
Hope I'm explaining it as good as possible.
Thx in advance,

Ricardo de Freitas

if i remember correctly, you basically just screw the motor on until it's tight, but don't over-tighten it. then you turn the motor screw (not the motor, but the screw on top) counterclockwise and clockwise again to test that the motor shaft turns smoothly.

anyone else want to chime in?
