Default Tein Mono flex question/ review

Im looking for coilovers for my S2k, I have been offered $1150 for a set of Mono flex's that have 17k on them. apparently no leaking and dampening is still good, but how much longer will they last?

Also in your opinion how much are they worth with that many miles,
Thanks,
Nathan

I have these coilovers on my car now and I love them..they ride stiff but I like it, personally. The handling is great. I bought them used from my pal for $1,300 they had less than 5K. I would probably try to get them to go down to $1,050-$1,100 max for 17K.

I had mine on for about 6k miles before switching to SRC's. Paid 1800 for them. Excellent coilovers. Still have them and will switch them out again after track season. You can really feel a difference with every adjustment. But there people I know with 20+k and still no issues at all with them. 1200 is a good price for them. If they aren't leaking then they are fine. They are a high quality coilover so they will last. They are perfect I think for DD and great on the track when you stiffen them up.

When you say "stiffen them up" are you just adjusting them or re-valving and putting stiffer springs on them?

Just adjusting them. A few clicks really changes how the car feels.

new cost 1650$ shipped.
after 17,000 miles i think they've done at least 2/3 of their life.
so 1/3 is left.
i don't see why pay 2/3 of a new price.
s/h is always risky and you don't get warranty.

How did they compare to the SRC's and how much did you pay for the SRC's, worth the $$?

if you could talk him down to 1000 i would go for it. they should last for another year or so before they should be sent off to be rebuilt.
