Default Thumping Sound in rear

Today i was driving and out of nowhere i hear, "thump thump thump thump!" coming for the rear passenger tire. I pull over and my tires have the right amount of air. I keep going and it doesn't go away. I pulled over and took off the tire thinking maybe something happened to it and i have a lump somewhere but nothing I cant narrow it down. Any help from someone more experienced? I've never dealt with this before.

Thanks in advanced.

Luis.

is the noise consistent with speed or does it occur when driving over bumps/dips...additional info on when the noise seems to occur should help narrow down your search.

sorry...

UPDATE INFO: The noise is loudest when at lower speeds (but its not just noise, i can feel the thumps inside also) At higher speeds it slightly fades away and eventually you dont hear it unless you are really paying attention and feeling the bump.

It doesnt occur over speed bumps or bumpy roads, it happens in nice roads as well. I first heard it in my block a few hours ago and my neighborhood is practically new so the streets are fine.

figured it was coming from the wheels so the suspension section would be good. But guess not.

I have a similiar issue but my S makes the thumping noise under hard acceleration. I forgot the exact issue but I believe I found it to be the rear ujoints. I need to take it to the dealer to look at since I have a great extended warranty I'll let them solve it.

It can be your wheel bearing. If you mess it up bad enough it will start destroying your hub as well, and there are all kinds of weird noises and feedback from the car. If it ends up being your wheel bearing your going to have to replace both wheel bearing and hub.
