Default Vented Rear Rotors

After my first track day I melted my rear center caps and wasted the stock pads in less than an hour. I would like to go with a vented rear rotor and I know several have done this but I am unable to find any details on it. The only thing I can find is a BBK and the only one with a parking brake kit is the Willwood faux dual piston.

Should be fine with suitable track pads (which you'd want with vented rotors as well), I doubt there's a real need for vented rotors at <300hp.

Yep, that is one of the reasons I am trying to get it figured out. The car should be in the 400-500WHP range, N/A for now but I working on a custom build with SOS.

Ducting for the rear rotors is all you would need really.

There is a racing brake kit that uses a vented rear rotor.

Just run proper track pads and you won't burn through them so fast. The racing brake kit looks okay but costs too much and it would be silly to use it without a front BBK. Also you have to file your pads down to make them fit with the wider rotor which would be kind of a pain.

I just found it also, I think I am going to go with this kit and the Accord calipers in the front. Same cost as a traditional BBK but pleanty of brake for anything I want to do!

I think I am going to sell my OEM HT, b/c I rarley use, it and get a set of track wheels and upgrade the brakes.

I have no issues with rear brakes with track pads. If you do ducting it will be even better. I did a DIY rear duct not too long ago. Do a search.

Most racers stick with oem rears and upgrade fronts if they absolutely need to

the racing brake kit uses thinner pads to accommodate the thicker rotor, so it's pretty doubtful that you'll find a vented rotor in the stock 12mm thickness. it's probably a limitation on the amount of space the caliper can move and the thickness of the pad.
