Default Wheel Wobble

Hi S2ki,

Last weekend I changed my brake pads and discs all round. The parts I used are all from brakesinternational.

I had never done anything like this before so used a mixture of youtube and DIY's on here to do it.

Everything went according to plan other than my jack slipping and decking the car. Bent the dust guard however i bent it back so no damage done.

Anyway I drove the car around today and noticed I had wheel wobble, coming through the steering wheel, very noticable at 70-80 on the motorway. It also feels like the rear is bobbing slightly.

What could be the cause of this? I did notice my rear tyres are worn right down and need replacing. Tyres are my next to do being payday friday so I will get a balance done. I have also made sure the wheel nuts are secure.

Front calipers where a dog to push back to fit the new pads, could the calipers cause this issue?

Cheers

Mike

PS if in the wrong section I do apologize.

poor alignment and/or improperly torqued lug nuts could cause this.

I agree with the lugs not being evenly tightened

Not "tighten them," you need to ensure that they are all torqued to 85-90 ft/lb. If you dont have a torque wrench, go buy one...they're like $20 at harbor freight with a coupon.
