Working on Brake Ducting
I have toyed with adding brake ducting on the S for some time. After having to remove all the front end to install the front sway bar and repairing the fog lights and splitter. I decided to tackle this and already have the front brake intake done that was the easy part of the install. I would like some help figuring how to route and attach the end of the ducting near the front rotors without cutting the brake dust shield. Has anyone attempted this too. Post up any ideas or pictures for me to check out. Thanks BD

just cut the dust shield. get a hole saw for the size, some flanges and just away. when you do it just disconnect the abs wire and put it out of the way so it doesnt get cut. dust shield doesnt even need to be removed from the car doing it that way.

I used this, says its good to 550*. The dust shield shouldnt get that hot being indirect heat from the rotors: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/scat.php
No issues with it yet for track days.
