I use 2 of these suction cup handles to remove the hardtop by myself. Works like a charm.

Each is rated for 125 lbs. $8 each from Harbor Freight Tools.

Just remember to lay a thick blanket down over the rear just in case

Your braver than I am, I've had too many close calls with two people!

Nice! I been thinking about this as well. I was trying to figure out what the best technique was.

Without the cups, the technique I use is to deadlift it from the inside and carry it out sideways. But with the cup, you are grabbing it from top? Or are you suctioning from the inside?

Mind sharing?

the OEM hardtop is very nice quality and far exceeds any aftermarket top in quality. We had the Mugen authentic top and that tiny rear window leaves much to be desired.

Now we have two OEM hardtops at the shop (Berlina black and Rio yellow) and love using it whenever the weather is too hot or too cold (rainy).

The fitment is dead on and as others have said it's EXACTLY the same for the CR and regular cars. Actually our black one is from a CR I think....

All the hardware you listed is needed unless you want to save some money and buy 3rd party hardware.

We take these things apart so much so any hardtop or other questions let me know

Where do you place the suction cups?

I've got a hard top for my 01 and made my own hoist for removal and install, this makes it easy to take off and on by myself.
