I want a delete model Cr
I have the 2008 S2000 dealer brochure. And it said the delete model saved 99lbs. I rather have this, instead of the A/c & radio version. And I live in Florida. Can u say hardcore? LOL. I think these will fetch a Lil more down the road too. I am in a dilemma, I want a 05 GPW, but they are asking close to $20 with low mileage. I'm thinking I might as well go all out and get a Apb CR for $25k..Hopefully...Delete model only...I can use the "shit doesn't have a radio and its an 08" story. U know the salesman are 95% of the time, clueless about what they sell...Thoughts?? And yes, I'm probably just day dreaming, but it gives us something to yap about.

There are no '05 CRs. CR trim was introduced in '08. 699 were made, of which 59 were delete models. Only 1 delete model was made for '09.
They're out there, just very rare. Good luck.

I know that there was none made in 05. I was saying, instead of paying close to $20k for a GPW Ap2, I might as well get a Apex Blue CR for $25k......Also there is a Apex Blue Delete model in P.A. for $25k with 40k..

Only if you can get free service on the Lotus. And pray you don't ever get in an accident in one since they got an exemption for the crash requirements. I still can't believe people track those cars.

Owning a delete CR in Florida, all I can say Wow! Try driving round without a/c in your present car to see if that suites you, I know that here in Texas when it's 105 it's unbearable. The dealer will be more inclined to dicker with you on a delete model over an a/c model. Those that bought the delete models often turned them back in when the car became unbearable to drive.

It's 99lbs with the hardtop removed. I am not sure the exact difference, but the delete models are only about 50lbs lighter than the non-deletes. The only reason I would buy a delete is for the rarity, no other reason. It's nice to have a radio and a/c even though I rarely use them.
