S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Yes. I pulled out all my trunk carpet and there's nothing under it. You'll see in some of the race prep threads for base model S2000's that they've had to scrape out a lot of that foam insulation stuff.

You can get that spring latch thing. It's like a $2 part (I'm sure it costs honda all of 2 cents to make). FWIW - it's the same spring latch that is in the cup holder arm (the thing that makes the 1 center compartment into 2 cup holders).

Here is a trivial piece of info. related to the specific color used on the CR wheels. The color is called Kaiser silver and the paint code is NH-546M.

Great info! Added to the FAQ. Coincidentally, that's the silver color for the NSX

Correct, I was doing some snooping on NSX prime and came across the paint code.

Does anyone else get annoyed with the spare tire compartment? I wish it was just flat. I mean, it's not like we're going to put a spare tire in there.

Yes I have thought that for a long time. Would it have been that hard to just make that piece flat?

I don't really mind at all. Personally, I see it at a reminder of the hardcore, stripped nature of the car. Plus, I fill that area with things like spare towels anyways
