I hear that the 2000 s2k can only read line 8300 and that the 2002 can redline 9000 so i was wondering will the ecu still work. Will I exprience a power lost or nonfunctional engine. If it does work will any harm come to the engine when driving?

Sorry to multipost.... as I understand there are some tuning differances in teh ecu, the 00-01 have a more agressive VTEC transition and the 00-01's run a little richer.

As far as I know an 00 ECU should work in an 03.

 

umm alright i'll give it a try when the new engine get puts in. hopefully all goes well thanks!

 

dont forget the immobolizer built into the ecu...
