Default 02' Radio in a 01' s2k?

Is is possible to put a 02' oem cd/radio in a 01' s2k without having to get new wires or anything? Basically can you just slide in the 02" and run it fine even with the controls next to the steering column?

If anyone's interested, I'm looking to sell my '02 stock CD/Radio. The car is only 1 month old, so this radio is essentially brand new.

How much are the '02 radio's from Honda? I'm not looking to buy now, but in the future it is on my list.

about $500 I think from Honda, but nobody will pay that its not work that a very good aft. deck would be better. Look for people selling 02 and 03 decks on here in the future. Pay $200 or less.

why would you want to buy an OEM radio when you can go aftermarket for cheaper than that and get a better head unit???

There are many reasons why a person would opt for a OEM deck, but one good reason, is selling car and wanting to put it back to stock form. If anyone is interested for a 02' OEM deck, I have one for sell. Total of 2 sellers has committed but backed out at the last second. It's in mint condition.

Right I agree... You keep the oem unit, buy the after market, and then when you sell the car, you replace the aftermarket HU with the OEM. Our cars need an aftermarket! The signal from the OEM is not very good quality despite being an alpine....
